I'm working through my first attempt with the Brewjacket. I purchased the conical setup which came with a special insulating jacket for conical fermenters. Unfortunately, it comes in 4 pieces that need to be velcroed together but no instructions were included in how best to get this arrangement put together correctly for a FastFerment, or for any conical fermenter. There are pictures on the Brewjacket website showing the use of the FastFerment, but it's unclear from the pictures how the jacket should be pieced together properly; and the picture looks a lot better put together on the top than what I've got going on. Fundamentally, I can piece together the major pieces but can't figure out how the insulation is supposed to work over the stand for the FastFerment to insulate the lower portion of the conical. After 3 1/2 days, the temperature of my conical is only at 59 degrees and it needs to get down to 54 degrees at a minimum. This is a substantial lag time and I'm concerned that the BrewJacket doesn't really work for conicals. It would be nice if there were some YouTube videos on how to put on the insulation jackets on the various carboys, buckets and conicals properly, in leu of documentation. But documentation would be nice. Has the conical setup worked for anyone for brewing lagers?
