I've noticed a few times that if you move the temp probe connector in the socket on the head unit that the current temperature reading will fluctuate wildly. Usually, it settles down after a moment, but sometimes it doesn't go back to its original reading. You then have to unplug the probe and plug it back in to reset it. This isn't a usually problem...just don't mess with the probe. But today when I got home from work, the current temp display read 87 degrees. I jiggled the connection, and it shot back down to near my set temp. Just to be sure, I unplugged the probe and plugged it back in, and the temp went down further to 13 degrees below my set temp, which would make sense if the unit was running all day with a false high temp reading. At this point, I'm sure my yeast are pretty much done due to the cold. Any thoughts on what might be happening with the probe and how to prevent it in the future?
