So it is 8am on Friday (1/13), and the United States Postal Service is saying on their tracking site they expect to delivery my package Thursday (1/12). Why do they say this? Because the United States Postal Service sucks.
I realize it's easier for a small company to have a simple processing system. And I don't blame the company for the failures of the USPS. I also understand it's cheaper. However, I am almost always willing to pay extra to ensure I can track my package, it gets delivered on time, it isn't chucked at my door from the street, or any of the other myriad advantages UPS, FED EX, DHL, and Juan & a Mule, have over USPS. Sure, a guy with a mule would take longer, but he'd probably have a smart phone and know where the heck he was at any given time.
Just something to consider when you're looking at ways you can improve customer service as the company grows. Shipping options should be very high on your list.
